Moderating Effects of Self Efficacy on the Relationship between Emotional Labor and Burnout of Care Helper

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the level of emotional labor, burnout, self efficacy and the moderating effects of self efficacy on the relationship between emotional labor and burnout of care helper. The subjects were 267 care helpers working in eastern Jeollanam-Do. The collected data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. The attention of emotion norm and the emotional dissonance had a significant positive influence on emotional exhaustion. The attention of emotion norm had a significant positive influence on decrease of self fulfillment. The emotional dissonance had a significant positive influence on dehumanization. The moderating effect of self efficacy between emotional labor and burnout was shown that emotional dissonance had an effect on emotional exhaustion. Therefore we found self efficacy did a role to adjusted negative direction between emotional dissonance and emotional exhaustion. As a result, we found attention of emotional express norm and emotional dissonance had an effect on burnout. And self efficacy had moderating effect on relationships between emotional labor and emotional exhaustion.
